NORMAS DE PUBLICACIÓN

El Boletín SEDECK es una revista de divulgación científica de carácter abierto e interdisciplinar en la que se contemplan todos los ámbitos relacionados con las Ciencias del Karst. Admite “Artículos Científicos”, “Notas científicas” y “Noticias, Comentarios y Foros de debate”. Los trabajos deben ser novedosos y no haber sido publicados en otras revistas. La dirección de la revista no se hace responsable de las opiniones vertidas en los trabajos, que serán responsabilidad única de los autores.

GENERALES

La aceptación de artículos queda sujeta al criterio de la dirección de la revista y a las recomendaciones del comité editorial y los evaluadores externos que en cada caso se designen. Los autores recibirán una copia electrónica (separata) de su artículo en formato PDF. Las unidades de medida serán abreviadas según el Sistema Métrico Internacional. Los nombres geográficos deben estar escritos de acuerdo a la actual terminología oficial y se prestará especial atención a que las referencias toponímicas del texto aparezcan también en los mapas de localización o esquemas presentados. En el caso de más de dos autores se hará constar en el texto sólo el primero seguido de “et al.” y el año de publicación. Ejemplos: (Shackleton&Opdyke, 1973; Hearty, 1998), Hennig et al. (1981). Las referencias bibliográficas se organizarán por orden alfabético de los autores y dentro de un autor por orden cronológico de los trabajos (si es preciso por la coincidencia de años, se añadirá una letra: a, b, c…). Nota: en los trabajos que traten sobre Bioespeleología o Paleontología se deberán respetar las normas del Código Internacional de nomenclatura Zoológica y, salvo causa justificada, se seguirán sus recomendaciones: (1) los nombres vulgares de taxones se escriben con minúscula (arácnidos, coleópteros, acrídidos,....), (2) los nombres científicos de taxones se escriben con mayúscula inicial (Arachnida, Coleoptera, Acrididae, …), (3) los nombres científicos de especies se escribirán siempre en cursiva. Al citar por primera vez en un trabajo el nombre de una especie, debe ir acompañado de los datos completos del descriptor y el año. En citas posteriores se podrá abreviar el género y se obviará el descriptor y el año.

PRESENTACIÓN DE TRABAJOS

Artículos Científicos: Los trabajos estarán redactados preferiblemente en castellano o inglés.

La extensión máxima será de 7500 palabras y de 12 figuras. Los textos se escribirán a un espacio en tipografía Times New Romany tamaño de letra 12. Véase “Recomendaciones para los artículos”.

Notas Científicas: Se contemplarán las mismas recomendaciones que para los artículos científicos, pero tendrán una extensión máxima de tres páginas. También se aceptarán en cualquier otra de las lenguas que se hablan en el Estado (catalán, gallego o euskera). En el caso de que la lengua sea distinta del castellano se acompañará de un amplio resumen en castellano con referencia a las figuras y tablas del texto.

Comentarios, Noticias y Foros de debate: Recogerán comentarios o réplicas sobre artículos ya publicados o servirán de soporte a una tribuna abierta de discusión sobre los distintos aspectos relacionados con las Ciencias del Karst. Tendrán una extensión máxima de una página.

RECOMENDACIONES PARA LOS ARTÍCULOS

Texto: Deberán ajustarse preferiblemente al siguiente formato: (1) Título y traducción del título en inglés, (2) Nombre y dirección de los autores, (3) Resumen en castellano: máximo diez líneas (salvo en el caso de que el artículo esté escrito en inglés, catalán o gallego, que será de una página), (4) Palabras clave: máximo diez, (4) Abstract en inglés: máximo diez líneas, (6) Key words: máximo diez, (5) Estructura del artículo: Introducción, Material y métodos, Resultados / Discusión, Conclusiones y Agradecimientos, (6) Referencias bibliográficas (ejemplos):

Figuras y fotos: Los pies de figuras, fotos y tablas se adjuntarán al final del texto del artículo en castellano e inglés y en su caso en alguna otra de las lenguas del Estado e inglés. Las Figuras, adjuntadas en archivos independientes, deben tener suficiente calidad para ser reproducidas. Preferentemente se utilizaran los formatos jpg o tiff. Se numerarán en el texto entre paréntesis, ejemplo (Fig. 4). Todas las figuras, ya sean dibujos, gráficos, mapas o fotografías deben seguir una única numeración correlativa cuando sean citadas en el texto. Tablas: Las Tablas, adjuntadas al final del texto, seguirán una numeración independiente de las figuras en números romanos: I, II, III, etc. Se numerarán en el texto entre paréntesis, ejemplo (Tabla III).

INFORMACIÓN DEL PROCESO EDITORIAL

La gestión de los artículos se realiza íntegramente mediante un sistema de envío a través de internet.Los artículos son gestionados por el comité editorial y sometidos a evaluación por dos evaluadores externos expertos en la materia en cuestión. Las decisiones finales sobre la publicación de los artículos corresponden al editor principal.

Los revisores serán anónimos si así lo desean. Se admite el debate, la discusión y la réplica sobre los artículos publicados, que serán incluidas en la sección de la revista “Comentarios, Noticias y Foros de debate”. Una vez aceptados y corregidos, los artículos serán maquetados de acuerdo con el estilo de publicación de la revista. Las pruebas de imprenta serán enviadas para su revisión final al autor/a de contacto.

Cada número de la revista tendrá una tirada mínima de 200 ejemplares impresos en papel para su distribución en los centros de investigación relacionados con el karst, Federaciones y grupos de Espeleología y socios de la SEDECK y asistentes a las jornadas anuales que la sociedad organiza.

GENERAL SUBMISSION RULES

The Boletín de la SEDECK (SEDECK Bulletin) is an open and interdisciplinary journal for scientific dissemination sthat covers all areas related to Karst Sciences. “Science Papers”, “Science Notes” and “News, comments and discussion forums” are admitted. Papers must be original and not been published in other journals. The editorial board is not responsible for the opinions expressed in the articles, which will be the sole responsibility of the authors.

GENERAL

Acceptance of papers is subject to the criteria of the journal and the recommendations of the editorial board and external referees appointed in each case. The authors will receive an electronic copy of their paper in PDF format. Units of measurement will be abbreviated according to the International Metric System. Geographical names must be written according to the current official terminology and all place names should be reflected on the location maps and diagrams. For citations, in the case of more than two authors, only the first surname will appear in the text followed by "et al." and the year of publication. Examples: (Shackleton & Opdyke, 1973; Hearty, 1998), Hennig et al. (1981). The bibliographic references will be organized in the alphabetical order of the authors and within an author in chronological order (if necessary because of the coincidence of years, a letter will be added: a, b, c…). In papers on biospeleology or palaeontology, the norms of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature must be respected and, unless justified, its recommendations will be followed: (1) vulgar names of taxa are written in lower case (arachnids, coleoptera, acrylids, ...), (2) the scientific names of taxa are written with an initial capital letter (Arachnida, Coleoptera, Acrididae, ...), (3) scientific names of species will always be written in italics. When citing the name of a species for the first time in a work, it must be accompanied by the complete data of the descriptor and the year. In subsequent citations, the genus may be abbreviated and the descriptor and year will be omitted.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

Scientific Papers: The papers will be written preferably in Spanish or English. The maximum length will be 7500 words and 12 figures. The texts will be written with single-lines pacingin Times New Roman font and font size 12. See “Submission Guidelines”.

Scientific Notes: The same recommendations as for scientific articles will be considered, but they will have a maximum length of three pages. They will also be accepted in any other language spoken in the Spanish State (Catalan, Galician or Basque). If the language is different from Spanish, it will be accompanied by a comprehensive summary in Spanish with reference to the figures and tables in the text.

Comments, News and Discussion Forums: They will include comments or replies to articles already published or will support an open forum for discussion on the different aspects related to Karst Sciences. They will have a maximum length of one page.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Text: They should preferably conform to the following format: (1) Title and translation of title in English, (2) Name and address of the authors, (3) Abstract in Spanish: Maximum ten lines (unless the article is written in English, Catalan, Galician or Basque, when it will be one page), (4) Keywords: maximum ten, (4) Abstract in English: maximum ten lines, (6) Keywords (in English): maximum ten, (5) Structure of the article: Introduction, Material and Methods, Results/Discussion, Conclusion and Acknowledgments, (6) Bibliographic References (examples):

Figures and photographs: The captions of the figures, photographs and tables will be added at the end of the text of the article in Spanish and English and, where appropriate, in other languages of the Spanish State and English. The jpg or tiff formats will preferably be used. Figures, submitted in separate files, must be of high enough resolution to be reproduced. They will be numbered in the text in parentheses, for example (Fig. 4). All the figures, whether drawings, graphs, maps or photographs, must follow a single sequential Arabic numbering when cited in the text. Tables, which should be added at the end of the text, must be numbered independently from the figures in Roman numerals: I, II, III, etc. They will be numbered in the text in parentheses, for example (Table III).

EDITORIAL PROCESSING INFORMATION

The articles will be managed entirely by means of an internet delivery system. Articles are managed by the editorial board and submitted for peer evaluation by two external referees who are experts in the subject matter. The final decision about the publication of the articles corresponds to the Editor-in-chief.

Referees will be anonymous if they wish. Debate, discussion and replies to published articles are admitted and will be included in the journal section “Notices, comments and discussion forums”. Once accepted and corrected, the articles will be laid out in the journal's publication style. Print proofs will be sent for final review by the corresponding author

Each issue of the journal will have a minimum print run of 200 copies for distribution to karst research centres, Federations and Speleology groups and SEDECK partners, and attendees at the society’s annual conferences.
